16-year-old refuses to give up her spot on queen-sized bed with 5 other girls at sleepover despite their indirect insults: "The person who takes up the most space should [sleep on the floor]"

One of my favorite parts of my adolescence was the sleepovers. Hanging out with my best friends was the best way to unwind after a long week of pop quizzes, school projects, and general high school drama. Since I didn't necessarily have many classes with my besties – or even the same lunch period – a weekend sleepover was the only way to get the whole crew caught up. Most of the time, we completely ignored the concept of a bed time, pulling countless all-nighters with back-to-back movies, online quizzes, and tomfoolery.

Our story today features one such high school sleepover. However, instead of trying to stay up all night, the girls in question do make an effort to go to sleep at a decent hour. When the girls realize they can't all fit in the same bed, they turn against our protagonist and try, passive aggressively, to get her to sleep on the floor instead. Now she's left wondering if these girls are even her friends at all.

Maybe this is just me, but I was raised in such a way that as the host, my guests' comfort comes first. In other words, my mom would be really upset with me if she found out that I even suggested that one of my friends sleep on the floor instead of me.
